About Us

A little about me

I am married to a wonderful woman who is my assistant in this school who would be more than happy to help any ladies train self defense.  In fact I am developing a Ladies Only Self Defense class.  Details will come soon. I have been training for about 3 years and I am a Black Belt Instructor; that means I am a licenced instructor by Master Lee.  To be a Sifu at LCMA, you have to pass all three fight tests before black belt. The first is 2 opponants back to back hands only and they can't touch you and you can't hurt them or use your feet.  The second is like it, but they can use their hands and feet and you still can't use your feet.   The third is two opponants on one and you can use your feet but you can't hurt them and they can't touch you.  I have sparred against  students of other styles who have had many more years of experience than I have in martial arts or fighting and they are unable to get past my defense.  With this in mind there is always room for improvement.  That kind of ability only comes from God!  I teach my students to learn how not to get hit, what good is it if you can hit the other person 20 times and then get a concussion or get knocked out with permanent injuries that will haunt you the rest of your life.  Wouldn't it be better to focus on not getting hit?  Think about what a commitment that would be?  If that can be your focus there is always room for improvement. For man it is impossible, but for Christ it is possible. He is showing me daily how to improve my self inside as well as outside


When you start here, more experienced or higher ranked students are not allowed to hit younger students.  If they do there are consequences or possible dismissal from the school.  We also do crunches and leg lifts everyday.  I do 350 crunches on an exercise ball and 350 leg lifts everyday in addition to working out in a gym because one of our main points of focus in Kung Fu is self improvement.  How many instructors do you know with a six pack, pump iron, and don’t hit their students with power and destructive force but can also not get hit?  We focus on improving ourselves physically as well as spiritually.  Because after the outside is fit, what about the inside?  It’s the only place to go once the outside is refined.  I talk about God and Jesus Christ on here and in class, because that’s who gives me my ability to fight and not hurt His children.  I am not interested in students who want to hurt other people, if that is your purpose don’t bother emailing me.  I want students who want to improve their total self: body, mind, and spirit.  Because that's what true martial arts is and was originally designed to be.

Real self defense can be simple, efficient, and effective.  I teach Wing Chun Fut and Traditional Wing Chun.  These styles differ in one main area:  Wing Chun Fut is designed to be non-destructive on you as well as your attacker.  Traditional Wing Chun can be destructive no matter how big or small your attacker is and it’s one of the most effective and easiest styles to learn for street self defense because you don’t have to do the splits or be limber to do it.  With Wing Chun Fut, grappling is added and some other movements to disable the attacker without having to leave a gash in his head, a broken knee, or a wound they will remember the rest of there life.  With both styles you will learn wooden dummy technique.  Chi Sau is also taught.
