Jason's Kung Fu Club

I had little martial arts experience before I started training at LCMA, I had one month of Tae Kwon Do.  I walked out one day and realized I didn't know any self-defense.  In fact, I was nervous about any fight I was involved in.   I prayed to Jesus one day and asked Him to show me a school where I could learn self-defense and give Him glory.  Within two days, I came across Master Lee's ad in the yellow pages.  I had never come across anyone who offered to spar with me without even knowing or asking me about my experience, WITH ONE HAND!!  I couldn't touch him; in fact I didn't even come close.  He didn't hit me back either (even though he could have, many times).  I realized that I had found the school and the standard I had been praying for and looking for.  He also mentioned God gave him this ability.  I continued in training there until my second stripe Yellow belt.  Then I married someone who I shouldn't have, it was about two and a half years of torture, I later realized it was God's way of refining me.   However, from time to time I thought about Kung Fu, I even practiced here and there.   After about two and a half years, I was delivered.  After I paid off some bills I started back again in April 2006.  Then I met a wonderful God-fearing woman who I later married, she encouraged me to do what I felt God wanted me to do.  She even started learning herself.  I started where I left off and God pushed me to go farther, I even joined the instructor program.  I passed all three fight-tests between Blue belt and Red belt, which means at Black belt I would become a Sifu Instructor.   At Black belt, I realized why God had pushed me so hard; to prepare me for Black belt.  It's difficult to be a Black belt and to be a Christian.  I read the bible every day to try and be a better servant to the Lord.  I never hit my students because of the skill God gave me.  I speak of Jesus every class and as often as I can because He and only He deserves my worship and praise.
