Wing Chun Fut

Wing Chun Fut

was invented by my instructor Master Lee McField.  It has all of the traditional blocks but some additional blocks to be less destructive.  There is also the element of grappling involved with this style.  Grappling is useful against any opponant because when done properly it does not depend on muscle power, but technique.  It was put together and refined through several years of fighting others without being able to hurt others.

The Wooden Dummy

Chi Sau

Chi Sau is used in virtually all Wing Chun styles.  It is a striking art, but it is also the art of sticking with your opponent, sensing your opponent’s energy and reacting based on feeling of energy and not sight. In fact, Chi Sau directly means "energy hands", this means sensing and diverting energy of the opponent. The Chi Sau I have seen in many other styles, in my opinion, is not true Chi Sau.  Chi Sau is not meant to be the same movement repeatedly and then smacking the opponent’s chest.

One last reminder, we practice controlling one's actions as a means of growth as well as control of power to prevent destruction on either side of a sparring match.  What this does is promotes learning environment instead of an environment of fear.
